"I love my Kindle 3G" 2010-10-16

I love my Kindle 3G. It's fast and with the Kindle case that has the light which is powered by the kindle itself (thus eliminating the need for any additional batteries) it is an absolutely perfect device to read from/on in any circumstance.

"Love my new Kindle" 2010-10-16
By Gwendolyn Whipple (Covington, WA, US)
I made this purchase after sitting next to someone on the bus, who is reading it while she is stepping on the bus and begins again as she sits. As we were pulling into downtown Seattle, I asked her how she liked it. She loves hers. I asked about changing font sizes (she is younger, probably didn't need to). Once I got mine, I found loading reading material to be a breeze and one of the first things I did was increase the font size. The second thing I did was to sew a handy pocket in my quilted notebook holder for the Kindle. It is the softer side of my new hardware.

"I love my Kindle 3" 2010-10-16

I love my Kindle 3, I previously had a PicoLife and found it quite good to read on but the amount of content that was available was annoying, I could only download stuff from Project Gutenberg, they have some great stuff but I would love to be able to read new content.

When my Kindle came I almost had a seizure, it was so good. Now I can read all the books I have wanted to for ages and they are so cheap, plus I can still access those Project Gutenberg books on it.

The screen is clear and the text is sharp, in fact sharper than any book that I have read. It is really easy to download new content and easy to keep track of where your up to. There are times while reading that I almost find myself trying to turn the page from the top.

Light, sharp and really portable.

I love the WiFi and 3G features and use them more than I thought I would.

The only detractor is the inability to change the off screen screensaver, a small thing that I'm sure will be rectified soon.

On the Train, the park, work or in the car Kindle rocks, I love being able to take my library everywhere with me and being able to open a book like that. Some times while I'm waiting for my wife to get her hair cut, or try on clothes I have a quick read. I LOVE THIS THING MAN!

"The video explaining the Kindle convinced to buy one - love it!" 2010-10-16
By M. Bryce (Suffolk, VA USA)
I kept ignoring the Kindle until the price dropped below $200. After spending this past weekend trying to organize my very large book collection, I checked out the Kindle video. I ordered one immediately when I realized that I didn't need a PC to buy and download books to it, and that the 3G would allow me to download books from just about anywhere, e.g., other countries. There's still the international restrictions on many of the British books, e.g., Harry Potter, but that's also true of their availability as audio downloads. My Kindle arrived this past Wednesday and I've already downloaded quite a few of my favorite books. I bought the leather cover for it that has the built-in light, which is really cool. While I love downloading audiobooks from audible.com, a lot of books aren't (and may never be) available on audio, but many of those same books are available for the Kindle. This is one of my best buys from Amazon!
