"What you see is not what you get" 2010-09-22

WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET! The images show a case with the "snap flap" attached to the cover, which is where it should be so it's out of the way when you open it. The one that Digital Media ships out has this "snap flap" attached to the iPad portion of the case. So when you have it set up as an easil or just trying to show it to someone it falls in front of the iPad. When I contacted Digital Media to see if I could get the one in the image their response was "This is all we sell."

"Great portfolio case for the $$" 2010-09-22

I purchased this case the day I received my iPad. I wasn't about to pay $30+ for an Apple case knowing I can get a "cheaper" case here at Amazon. I received my case 1 day earlier than guaranteed delivery date. Overall, it is a good solid case that will protect the screen and exterior of my iPad from scratches and dents. I knew before purchasing this folio that it was never designed to be a damage prevention case. It looks decent and is well worth the money. Plus... It is a tilting stand. I can tilt it to both a comfortable viewing angle and tilt it more to a typing angle. Other reviews stated that it felt cheap. I give it a 4/5 because it feels cheap and that the stand's foot rests on ridges on the outside of the front cover (it looks tacky). It lacks real padding on the inside of the case; no felt liner like the expensive cases. It feels like leather, but nowadays, you can have pleather that feels and looks better than the real stuff. The only change I'd make to the design of the case is to add a strap or 2 to the open side of the case to prevent the iPad from accidentally slipping out. Despite its lack of inside padding, the open end, and the tacky ridges to rest the stand on in the front, I'd still purchase this again and recommend it to anyone who wants a decent looking cheap cover.

"Usefulness of case" 2010-09-20
By DDuck (Churchville, PA United States)
This case should be standard equipment for the iPad. I read the reviews concerning holding the iPad for any extended length of time. They were correct, it was tiring to hold the bare iPad in a position easy to read or type. This case makes all the difference.

"Acase ipad case? you can find better..." 2010-09-19
By jana L jurek (FORT MYERS, FL, US)
I purchased this Pleather (it's not leather as stated) case because it was very inexpensive and I could protect my ipad until I found a case that I really liked. Unfortunately I found it only good for protecting the screen (when the cover is closed), but the small elastic band located on the upper right corner that is supposed to hold it in place and prevent it from sliding out of the case...was less than convincing. Unless you plan on always holding you ipad vertically as you transport it... I would not recommend this case.
